The process is exactly the same for both fully complete and off plan sales.
In order to complete the purchase of your property, you wil need:
Greek Tax Number (AFM)
Greek Bank Account
Greek Residence Permit issued locally
Greek Lawyer
Greek Notary Public

Related Costs
The fees outlined below are paid by the purchaser and based on the officially assessed value of the property,
not the actual sale price. The officailly assessed price determined by the Greek Tax Authorities is normally lower
than the sale price.
Lawyers Fees - approx 2%
Notary Fees - approx 2%
Purchse Tax - aapprox 2%
Purchase tax for Off-Plan Homes is calculated at a lower percentage than for ready complete homes.
As a guideline we estimate that property buyers should expect to pay approximately 15% of the total purchase
price for services and taxes related to the purchase.
It is normal for any Estate Agents to charge 2% of the value of the purchase price.
